Casabarata Artlab Project

The Casabarata Artlab Project is a key initiative of the Foundation, conceived as a creative platform rooted in one of Tangier’s most emblematic and complex urban areas. This project aims to transform the symbolic space of the Casabarata market into a site for artistic experimentation, education, and social engagement. By organizing workshops, talks, and site-specific interventions, the Artlab seeks to foster dialogue between artists, students, and local residents, encouraging new forms of expression inspired by the realities of everyday life.

With a focus on accessibility and inclusion, the Casabarata Artlab Project invites emerging and established artists and designers to engage with the community, using recycled materials, found objects, and the surrounding environment as starting points for creation. The project promotes sustainability and cultural exchange while offering young talents the chance to develop skills in a collaborative and dynamic setting. Through this initiative, the foundation reinforces its commitment to social impact and contemporary creation, bridging the gap between local heritage and global artistic discourse.
