THE FOUNDATION

The Foundation mounir fatmi actively supports artistic experimentation and innovation in Morocco by supporting contemporary art through exhibitions, laboratories, artist residencies and cultural initiatives. It aims to preserve mounir fatmi's artworks and archives, ensuring his artistic legacy inspires future generations. Facilitating cultural dialogue, the Foundation fosters collaborations among artists from diverse backgrounds through international partnerships, enriching Morocco's contemporary art landscape and promoting global awareness.

The Foundation is committed to promoting contemporary art and supporting emerging Moroccan artists through a variety of projects and events accessible to a wide audience, in collaboration with cultural and social institutions. The Foundation will annually offer laboratories, artist residencies and mentoring opportunities to support and encourage young emerging Moroccan artists. The Foundation will also provide means of publication and dissemination, both printed and digital, in collaboration with Moroccan publishers.

The Foundation energizes the artistic scene through a series of significant events aimed at fostering dialogue and collaboration in the art world. Organizing artist-talks, conferences, and exhibitions, the foundation brings together renowned artists, researchers, curators, and other key figures. These gatherings facilitate idea exchange and collaboration, locally and internationally.
